Terms of Service

Last updated: 20 August 2026

These terms apply when you use se2.dev, book an advisory call, or enrol in a program offered by SE² Academy. By using the site you accept them.

What we provide

SE² Academy provides software engineering education: recorded course material, written resources, community access, and mentorship, together with free advisory calls. Course content is delivered through our learning platform at learn.se2.dev.

Enrolment and payment

Program prices are shown on the site and on the course platform in US dollars. Payment is processed by the course platform and its payment provider at the time of enrolment. Access to a program is granted once payment is complete.

Access to course material

Where a program is described as including lifetime access, that means access for as long as SE² Academy continues to operate the platform. We may update, improve, or reorganise course material over time.

Your account

Your account is personal to you. Do not share your login with anyone else. Course material, including videos and written resources, is our intellectual property and is licensed to you for your own learning. You may not redistribute, resell, or publish it.

Refunds

If you believe a program was not what was described, contact us and we will look at your situation individually. Refund handling is subject to the terms of the course platform and payment provider used at checkout.

Advisory calls

Advisory calls are free and are provided to help you decide on your next steps. They are guidance, not a guarantee of any specific outcome. You are under no obligation to purchase anything.

What we do not promise

We teach skills and how to present them. We do not guarantee employment, a salary level, or an interview. Results depend on your own effort, your circumstances, and the job market at the time.

Community conduct

Our community spaces exist to help people learn. Harassment, spam, and sharing paid material outside the community are not acceptable, and we may remove access for conduct that damages the space for others.

Third-party services

The site links to and embeds third-party services, including the course platform, Cal.com for booking, and video hosting. Their own terms apply to your use of them.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed.
