This policy explains what information se2.dev collects when you visit the site, why it is collected, and who processes it. SE² Academy is operated from Lebanon.
We only receive personal information when you choose to send it. That happens when you sign up for our free video, apply and book an advisory call, contact us on WhatsApp, or enrol in a program. Depending on the action, this can include your name, email address, phone number, and anything you write in a message to us. We use it to reply to you, to run the session you booked, and to deliver a program you purchased.
Like most websites, se2.dev uses third-party tools that collect usage data through cookies and similar technologies:
These tools set cookies in your browser. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on. Blocking them does not affect your ability to use the site.
To watch our free video at se2.dev/engineer, you give us your name, WhatsApp number, and email address. If you then apply for a call, we also keep your answers to the application questions. Along with these, we record how much of our videos you watch, which pages of the sign-up and application you reach, and where you came from (for example an ad or a link we shared, including the click identifier Meta adds to ad links).
We use this information to:
Meta. As you move through these pages (signing up, watching the video, applying, booking a call), we tell Meta about each step through its Conversions API, so Meta can measure and improve our advertising. With it we send your email address, phone number, name, and country in hashed form (converted into a code that does not show the original value), along with your IP address, your browser's user agent, and Meta's own browser identifiers. Meta's privacy policy governs how it processes that data.
Our team's tools. Your details, your answers, and the stage you have reached are sent to the tool our team uses to manage follow-up, so the right person can contact you.
Cookies on these pages. We set a cookie that remembers you have signed up (for 180 days), so you can come back to the video without signing up again, and one that remembers where you first came from (for 90 days). Meta's browser identifiers are stored as cookies too.
Advisory calls are scheduled through Cal.com. When you book, your name, email address, phone number, and some of your application answers are sent to Cal.com to create the appointment, and shared with the team member who takes the call. Cal.com's own privacy policy governs their processing of that data.
Enrolment, payment, and course delivery happen on our separate learning platform at learn.se2.dev. Account and payment information you provide there is handled by that platform and its payment processor. We do not store card details.
We keep enquiries and booking records for as long as we need them to support you and to keep proper business records. Analytics data is retained according to each provider's default retention period.
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to us and we will action the request. You can also unsubscribe from any email we send using the link in that email.
Our programs are aimed at adults and older students. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will remove it.
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
